Duluth Monarch 3
I got this pack about 6 months ago to try something different and have been very surprised how good it is in comparison to conventional packs.
I had to learn a different way of packing my bag because of the bag being more of a square shape.
This bag is very comfortable. I had never heard of a tumpline before but now I have got used to it I would never have a big pack without one.
It is the strongest bag I have ever seen or owned and I have tried a lot!
I have to say I am now a big Duluth Pack fan.
I would recomend them to all outdoor, bushcraft/woodsman, wilderness enthusiasts.

DULUTH NORTHWOODS PACK
This is my favourite duluth winter pack.
I can get everything in it that I need to survive comfortably outside all winter.
Duluth packs are the perfect choce for me because of the kit i use. I sleep on sheep skin rugs, use wool blankets and for shelter a canvas tarp tent.
When the rugs are rolled up they fit perfectly and give the bag a good shape and the tarp tent goes folded closest to my bag putting the weight in the right place then I fold the blankets and they go to the back of the bag also close to my body and make the bag extra comfortable. It all fits in so well with plenty room for other essentials and luxury's. I only like using kit that is 'made to last and duluth packs are just that. I find in almost all cases natural products are superior to synthetic products.
I know these days we are told that the more modern it is the better it must be. However, that is generally not the case. if you are willing to try something different you are likely to be pleasantly surprised.
If you are interested in getting a Duluth Pack my advice is a Timber Cruiser or a Monarch 3 for the summer and a Northwoods or Monarch 4 for winter.

DULUTH LUMBER PACK
Lovely bit of kit for a day trip. This is great bag for a warm summers day as you avoid getting a sweaty back, as I do when carrying a rucksack. It is also great to use as an extra bag for long hikes or camping expeditions as it fits underneath all my other full size rucksacks or a day pack. The water bottel holders are fantastic.

Duluth pack timber cruiser
My timber cruiser is my favourite summer pack.
although these packs are normally used for carring your kit on a canoe trip, i use them for carrying my stuff through the woods and hiking - they are amazing. duluth packs are my number one choice out of all packs on the market; fits all i need to live out. a very simple strong pack.
the box-style pack at only six inches depth keeps the weight pulled close into your back, making heavy weights easy to carry.
because the bag rides lower than modern packs the weight of the bag is in a much better place. this also means it does not snag on trees when walking through the woods.
the tumpline on the bag is incredible. i would never get a bag without one again.
the straps on the bag are made from the best leather i have ever seen.
i am so happy i found duluth packs. i will never have to change my packs again.
